This is neither good nor bad, but if we study mythology, ancient and modern history, we can trace the pattern that defines Eastern European femininity as we know it today.
My project began with the sentence I stated at the beginning. Being Ukrainian, I decided to explore my own identity and how it fits into the wider feminine discourse in the region I come from. Turning my attention inside out, I am looking for answers and connection to my roots, rethinking what it means to be a woman of my origin.
